As most of you know, Richard and I are both in Pharmacy School at Harrison School of Pharmacy in Auburn. We have just recently started our fourth and final year of pharmacy school. We are now doing our rotations. We have eight different rotations that each lasts five weeks. We will be at different pharmacy sites like hospitals, clinics and retail pharmacies throughout the year. This is a really good exposure to different areas of pharmacy that we may not have been exposed to up to this point. We will be working with all sorts of pharmacists throughout this time. Next May we will graduate and become Doctors of Pharmacy with our Pharm D degrees!! We absolutely cannot wait for that day to get here!
At the beginning of pharmacy school we had what was called a "White Coat Ceremony". At this ceremony, we all received a
white coat that was presented to us by the Dean and Associate Dean of the Pharmacy School. This symbolized our committment and dedication to the profession of pharmacy and the long road ahead of us.
Pharmacy School has definitely been an experience thus far. Richard and I have had to give up going out to eat or going to the movies and replace that with Friday night study dates! We have stayed up till all hours of the night studying. We have quizzed each other before tests. There were even some nights that we would lay in bed, almost asleep, and then one of us would have a question about school and we would have to ask the other one or it would have kept us up all night. We have put in so much time and effort to get to where we are today. I can't imagine going through Pharmacy school without Richard there with me. Along the way, we have been able to meet some wonderful people and make some really great friendships that will last for a lifetime! All in all, it has been a great experience and it will definitely be worth all the work in the end!
