The Real World

Lately, Richard and I have been working long hours and learning more about being retail pharmacists. Everyone told us that when we got out of school and into the "real world" that we would wish we were back in school....we do not think that this is true!! It is true that we have to work long hours and have a sporadic schedule right now, but we are enjoying our free time when we have it! It is a truly wonderful feeling to be able to come home after work and not have to open a book or start studying for a test. For the past eight years, especially the last four, we always had something to do for school, but now, we have a sense of freedom, which is wonderful!!

Last Name Picture Frame

So, I have been working on this project for quite some time now, but it's finally complete!!! I got the idea after seeing these frames with words like Faith, Love, Believe and other words spelled out in letters. I decided that I wanted to make our last name. I found several websites and stores that would let you buy photographs of letters that someone else had taken. I wanted to make this really special, so I decided that I would take all the pictures myself. To make it even more meaningful, I decided to take all the pictures in Auburn, where we met and spent so much time. It was a little more difficult than I thought, but after taking lots of pictures I finally got them like I wanted them. I had it framed and put together and here is the finished project! I love the way it turned out and this is something that we will have forever!!

My Kindle

Our anniversary was last month and Richard got me a Kindle! I am going to blame not blogging as much on my Kindle, but I love it! I was a little unsure how I would feel about reading on an electronic reader. I thought that I would really miss holding an actual book and being able to turn the pages, but I was wrong. I am a pretty slow reader, but I am already on my second book! The first book that I read was Sisterhood Everlasting. This is a book by Ann Brashares, who wrote the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, which I read a long time ago. The four book series is about a set of friends and their journey through high school and college. Sisterhood Everlasting is a continuation of the series, but about ten years later, so the friends are now about to turn thirty. I remembered the characters as if I had read the series just last week. It was a good read! Now, I am on my second book, The Help by Kathryn Stockett. When I was trying to decide which book to read next, I kept seeing this book everywhere, so I decided to give it a try. And the movie is coming out soon, so I will have to see it after I finish the book. So far, it has been a good book. I will have to let you know more of what I think after I finish it.
