4 Weeks and Bath Time

Logan was 4 weeks old yesterday! Where does the time go? We can't believe that it has already been that long since we were in the hospital!  He is growing every day!! He has started gripping our fingers and looking more directly at us.  Last night we were able to give him his first real bath.  His umbilical cord fell off last week and we have been waiting on it to heal before his first time in the tub.  We were a little nervous about how bath time would go, but Logan loved it!!

Everyday Life

We love our little Logan more and more each day!  We are still working on getting into some sort of routine or schedule.  Logan is eating great which means that we are going through a ton of diapers!  I never would have thought that we would need so many diapers and wipes!  All those shower gifts are really coming in handy!!  Logan has been on several walks in the neighborhood which he seems to enjoy.

We were even able to take Penny with us on a couple of walks. Penny is doing well with Logan.  They haven't had a ton of interaction but she has been good so far.  She is very curious about Logan and his little noises. Richard had to go back to work this past weekend.  He did not want to go back and have to leave us at home.  They have still gotten to have plenty of boy bonding time playing Mario Brothers on the Wii and napping on the couch.

I love them both so much!!!  And we put Logan in one of his Auburn outfits the other day!

Weight Check

We had to go back to the pediatrician today to check on Logan's weight.  At two weeks, they want babies to be back at their birth weight. Logan weighed 7 pounds 15 ounces at birth. When we left the hospital he was down to 7 pounds 8 ounces.  When we took him for his first pediatric visit he was at his lowest of 7 pounds 5 ounces.  The pediatrician said that it is completely normal for babies to lose weight for the first week.  When we went back today, Logan weighed 8 pounds 13 ounces!!!  Yes, he is a growing boy!!!

Growing by the Minute

We are amazed at our little Logan.  It seems like he changes every single day.  We are still working on getting our days and nights sorted out but other than that we are doing good.  We are trying to figure out what things he likes and what he doesn't but that seems to change daily as well.  We did go for our first walk around the neighborhood on Monday with all four of us.  Logan seemed to enjoy it, Penny was really good and Richard and I enjoyed the fresh air and beautiful weather.  Here are some pictures!!

Glad to be Home

We are so glad to be at home with our sweet baby boy Logan!!  I am not going to lie and say that it has been easy but it has been worth it!  We are all three adjusting to being at home and getting much less sleep than usual.  I could literally stare at Logan all day long and new get tired of it. I caught this little grin this morning!!

40 Weeks!!!

I am 40 weeks pregnant today!!  We can't believe it, but this is it!!  We went to the doctor this morning for my weekly visit and everything is still going well.  I have been making a little progress each week, but nothing major.  We will be going to the hospital in just a few hours to prepare for the induction tomorrow!  So, we will finally get to meet Logan tomorrow!!!!!  According to the website that I am following, Logan is probably about the size of a small pumpkin, somewhere around 7 1/2 pounds and 20 inches long.  His skull bones are not fused quite yet, to make it easier during delivery.  Here is my last belly picture!!
I am going to try to keep everyone updated while we are in the hospital!
